Remember Me by Christopher Pike

The book I chose is called “Remember Me” by Christopher Pike.    “ Remember Me” is about a girl named Shari Cooper. She goes to a party with friends and ends up dead, now she has to find her killer.
The book affected me because it is so different then what I normally read.  Normally I would read probably a book by Zane or even a book like “Twilight”. Once I read remember me I was happy that I did.
The big question in “Remember Me” is what happens after death. “Do you move on to some place better?” “Do you become someone else?”  Another question is “can you go back to your same life or do you have to come back to life as someone else“.
I learned that life always has something to offer and its your choice if you get something from it or not.  And you should always be thankful for great friends and family, you never know when your time is going to be up. Or how your going to go.
The strangest part would have to be the way that it’s the dead girl “Shari Cooper” writing the book, especially at the end of the book.
The subculture is about believing in God and what other things can come from it. I would have to agree with the book because I believe in God, I believe that If you missed out so much in your life that he might let you come back and do what you needed to do in the beginning.

  1. Amy, I think you would enjoy The Lovely Bones. It also has a "dead" narrator and really kind of challenges some of our traditional ideas of what heaven is like.

    Thoughtful post.
